Built on a steel hull with a wood superstructure, the vessel follows routes through a remote section of the bay that few cruise boats use, passing limestone karsts and sheltered coves away from the more heavily trafficked waters to the north.
Guests board via a 30-to-40-minute speedboat from the Heritage Cruises Lounge at Tuần Châu International Marina, reaching the ship anchored among the roughly 400 islands of the archipelago. Onboard life is organised around two named restaurants — L'Indochine for lunch and Le Tonkin for dinner — alongside a top-deck bar, a third-floor pool, a gym, a library, and scheduled activities that range from kayaking and bamboo boating to a chef-led Vietnamese cooking demonstration and a sunrise session of Vovinam, the Vietnamese martial art.
Three itinerary lengths are available: a two-day Heritage Discover Cruise, a three-day Heritage Explorer Cruise, and a four-day Heritage Expedition Cruise. Longer programmes add a full-day excursion into Cát Bà National Park to the traditional village of Viet Hai — reached by bicycle or electric car through a rainforest tunnel — and, on the four-day option, a speedboat transfer to Gia Luan seaport on Cát Bà Island to visit caves, a local market, and a beach. Ocean Suites sit on the second deck, matching the Delta Suites at 33 square metres and available as double or twin. The private balcony looks directly out over the bay, and the bathroom is fitted with both a bathtub and a rain shower.
